Clara Conversations
Convo #1
Clara: Dad, are you thinking what I’m thinking? It’s that I have to go potty.
Convo #2
Clara (talking about Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc): You know what’s true about Mouse Wazowski? His one eye is so big, he doesn’t have room for his other eye.
Convo #3
Clara (to some kids at the library): You can come to my house and play with me!
Kid: But we don’t know what neighborhood you live in.
Clara: We live in the house near the witch.*
*When we went trick or treating she couldn’t get over the stuffed witch that a neighbor had on her lawn, so clearly that’s a good reference point for navigation
Convo #4
Kid: I have a friend named Clara. But she’s a different Clara.
Clara: I’m a new special Clara!
Convo #5
Clara: Mom, I like when we saw Ariel and the crab sang that silly song “Under The Seat”
Psst- Check out dozens of other conversations with Clara here.

So cute! It’s so fun to write these down. I think I’m going to make a Shutterfly book for my kids about the fun stuff they say.
As always, these are awesome, however #1: classic! Too funny!
Slightly off topic but very much with Clara in mind, I just discovered a website http://www.amightygirl.com/ that I think you will like. I lost two hours this morning looking at just some of the links.
I love following Clara as she grows since I have a grandaughter, Phoebe, that I don’t see nearly enough of and who is the same age.
So cute! Thanks for sharing!

These kind of posts never get old. I think “I’m a new special Clara!” is my favorite. I love that positivity.
#4 is my fave! (probably of all time)
“I’m a new special Clara”….so cute! She sure is! :0)
“I’m a new special Clara!”
I die. This kid.
Best one yet! Love her innocence.
My son sings the Ariel song too! But his version is “I in the seed!”, not “Under the Sea!” Haha – so funny to hear their versions of the song!
So funny!

“I’m a new special Clara” – so confident! :) What a sweet little one you have!
Isn’t like with a preschooler so much fun? I mentioned to my son on the way to school today that we need to make dinner rolls for Thanksgiving. He was quiet for a moment and then said, “or you could just go buy them at Panera Bread.” LOL Done and done. My kind of kid!
Hilarious! My kinda kid!

#4 ditto. She’s special and she knows it and that is THE BEST because she knows everyone else is special, too!
“Under the seat” could TOTALLY be a new Disney song. There’d be no end of things to sing about. You should do a parody video!! I can see it now!
Just when I think she couldn’t possibly be sweeter, there she goes, calling herself a new special Clara! I’m so looking forward to what she has to say when the bun arrives. You Petersiks are definitely not helping with this major case of baby fever I have!!
“Under The Seat”!!! I love it!
You do find some great stuff under there …
Hilarious! It’s true! Quarters for days.

Wuhuuu a Clara conversation post :) I absolutely love these posts!
Gotta chime in with the others #4 is probably an alltime favourite :) What an amazing girl, thanks for sharing :)
This is my very favorite installment ever. Whenever my Mr. and I bring a life into the world – may he or she have a Clara sized personality!
You guys inspired me with the weekly photo project which I’m now doing although at week 12 I find myself running out of interesting fabric. LOL. I think starting 3 months we’ll just do monthly since I don’t need a bunch of fabric.
Now you’re inspiring me again. I love the idea of writing down the cute and funny conversations that kids have. Someone suggested a shutterfly book and that’s a great idea and momento!
I love that Karla! You’re going to love having them to look back on! I have them from when Clara just started talking and it’s so much fun to read them. It’s amazing how fast you forget them, so it’s like reading them for the first time every few months!

I’ve seen people use wrapping paper too. That is cheaper then a bunch of fabric :)
That’s fun too!

We did the weekly photo project for my daughter who is 15 months (thanks to this blog for the idea). I used many different things each week that weren’t fabric (sheets, baby blankets, bathroom rugs, etc). I didn’t start buying pieces of fabric until 27 weeks or so. It’s great to have all the pics. Good luck!
The girl tells the truth. She’s just stating facts. I love it.
She is so funny.
My niece said to my husband and I the other day, “Look how cute I look in this hat”. Her parents have obviously been complimenting her so she would wear it but it was just so funny.
So funny! The other day Clara said “mom, do I look cute? I want to look cute so John (her cousin) is nice to me” – melted my heart. And thankfully John’s always nice to her… perhaps because she’s always cute! Haha!

These are my faaaavorite! Also, mom? Dad? When did mommy/daddy end?!
I KNOW RIGHT?! It’s like she’s a tween all of a sudden.

We’re giving our 3-year-old niece a copy of The Little Mermaid for her birthday – I can’t wait to hear her version of the song!
Oh Clara- that kid is a riot! I have two boys- one just a little older than Clara, but he has Autism/ a speech delay, so we are just starting to hear his humor. Can’t wait to be able to write down his conversations one day! I named my blog after one of the first jokes he ever told us (that coffee is cold). Love these posts- thank you so much for sharing your sweet moments with us!
Such a sweet joke! I love him.

I can’t help but think the lyrics that follow “Under the seat”…
“Down where it’s wetter, Darling it’s better” now have new meaning LOL!
Haha! Someone else was saying how you find cool things under seats. We need a remix. Like “Darling there’s a cheerio, and look I found a dime!”

Kids say the craziest things. I love that you record some of the things she says. It will be so fun to look back at them in the years to come. What a great idea!
Oh my, #1 is so funny. And ‘YES!’ to #4. Clara, you are indeed special!
My little guy says “Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” too. Cracks me up every time!
