Serenading Will’s Toys
Another Clara-song was successfully captured on film. Actually, it was captured on my iPhone, which is why it has taken me nearly a month to upload it. I shot this at the Bowers’ house in Atlanta after we had just arrived. Will was napping. Katie and Sherry were at Haven. Jeremy was working on his table project. And thus I found myself inside with a toddler happily singing to her baby boyfriend’s toys. I didn’t understand most of the lyrics (although I can make out “fishie goes sliding”, “he goes first” and “here we go!”) but I’m pretty sure it’s to the tune of Hush Little Baby.

It’s so strange for me hearing little children with American accents! I’m so used to British accents on kids. TOO ADORABLE! Clara’s growing so fast, seems like just yesterday I started reading your blog (the day you revealed you guys were having a girl) How time flies!
And likewise, I think kids with British accents are adorable!

Clara really is such a good, happy little girl. Enjoy this time with her! Our son will be 17 next month and, oh boy, do we miss the little boy he was sometimes. LOL
I’m amazed at how content Clara is and how easily she entertains herself. I have never realized how tall the Bowers baseboards are until this video–Fabulous shot of them!! Thank you for my Clara time ; )

Sometimes I wonder if Children just babble or if it actually has meaning in their head? Or maybe, since they are not always familiar with all ‘grown-up’ words, they think we babble half the time as well?

I love how Clara always sings. What a happy little girl. I thought she was singing the mockingbird song… is that the same as hush little baby?

I love her dress! Where did you get it? She is too cute! Her language development amazes me. My daughter and her friends are all around 22 months and none of them are near where Clara is verbally. Amazing!
