Laundry Day
Usually, Clara + pile of clean laundry = counter productivity at its best. But in one recent case, this equation equaled quite the display of laundry sorting technique. Okay, maybe “sorting” is a stretch. But laundry identification, yes!

Too cute! Will you send her to my house next; I love to do laundry, but not sort it!!
Haha- sure, she’ll be right over!

Clara has hair!! She is such a smart girl and I love how she talks about herself in the third person. I forgot little ones do that (my 17 mth old is nowhere near as verbal as Clara). I think you have a good helper there.
Fashion question – is Clara’s shirt from H&M? My little one possibly has the same one, and I know she has the same scarlet jeans (and I’m sure Clara had the same white shoes from Target my older girl used to wear). Our taste in clothes for our girls are eerily alike.
Yes I think it is from H&M! It was a gift!

Oh my goodness, she is getting so big and talking so well! I can hardly stand the cuteness!!! <3
Oh! She is just the cutest thing! I love that she calls herself “Lara”, that she tried to make John’s jeans her own (room to grow into them, right?), and that she definitely knows the pink sock is “Mommy’s sock.” TOO fun!
I love when the kids do that my two little ones do the same and now is like a game for my little boy.
Oh man…I only want kids if they’re as cute as Clara!
I was just waiting for, “That’s Mommy’s underwear” and then John to have to snatch them away! Guess you sorted that stuff out of the pile first. :)
She’s such a good talker!
Hehe I love how she appears to read the label in John’s pants before saying they’re daddy’s!
yes- that cracked me up!
Ha! I was going to write that :) She looked at it and almost looked like “Woah, that’s definitely not my size!”
Such a clever girl!
Absolutely adorable!
Ca-ute! The fun thing about videos like these as that Clara will enjoy watching them for years and years. My daughter even broke out the Baby Emma videos when she was in high school for some fun viewing. Enjoy you little Clara. She is such a sweetie and so smart!
I love that in the middle of the video, it looks like she’s smiling & posing with her brown dress. So cute!
Oh, man. That is so adorable!
Is she pronouncing ‘Clara’ with a Daffy duck style “thbt” sound at the beginning? It’s kind of unbearably cute. Dat’s Pthbara’s pants!
That was the funniest part of that video – she suddenly had this really heavy tongue when she talked. She usually doesn’t do that. But it was adorable!

I LOVE Clara videos! I was definitely hoping you’d post one soon. She’s so cute!
Yes, she is so verbal! What’s your secret? Did you just talk with her a lot to engage he as she’s grown? Probaby read a lot of books, too.
Who knows. I think it’s just having a very talkative lady for a mom.

That is so precious. I couldn’t stop giggling at her. I love how she was playing peek a boo, and that she tried to put on a pair of pants over her pants. She is such a cutie and a smart lil girl!
This post is beyond adorable! It also made me think of the song “Laundry Day” from Dr. Horrible’s Singalong Blog–if y’all haven’t checked it out, you totally should!
Um, you seem to have glossed over the fact that Clara identifies one of your shirts, John, as Daddy’s Dress. Haha!
*laughs* I totally burst out laughing over that. John, you didn’t skip a beat in confirming that, yes, that is indeed Daddy’s /shirt/. Excellent work, sir!

Too Cute!! Clara is SO smart! My Best Friend’s Baby also says “Thank you Mommy! You’re Welcome Mommy!” Back to back like that!
That’s just totally adorable!
You guys, she really is *such* a smartie and a cutie — you know that, right? ;)
Of course we do! But we’re required to – we’re her parents. :)

Clara is so inquisitive and seems to have a great attention span, unlike many toddlers her age. Just curious, does she watch any TV?
She used to really like a video about farm animals, but lately she’s been obsessed with YouTube videos (mostly kids songs or videos of other babies). It’s not our favorite activity, but she actually has learned a lot from them – and at least we know she’ll have something to do on the plane to Oregon next week!

So cute! And she knows so many words and is great at enunciation! Too precious!
Dress/shirt. Same thing.
At 1:00 clara officially makes my heart melt!
Sooo pitttty!!
Oh my gosh… she’s so adorable. That little voice! My little girl is 11 now. Sigh… Here I am at work watching this when I should be, well, working! Hah! Love your blog… and the kitchen is looking great. I check in to YHL every day. Keep the good stuff coming! Maureen (from gloomy, rainy D.C.)
Wow! She’s so adorable and such a great little talker. I can’t believe her coordination putting those pants on!! Good thing I’m pregnant with my first right now…I can’t wait to have my own little one to make me laugh on a Thursday morning:)
I liked “That’s Daddy’s dress”….”Yes, that is Daddy’s shirt.”
I remember those days, quite fondly. That is how our oldest (Elliot) learned clothing names and colors and how to sort. We sorted types of clothes, colors, sizes, textures, you name it. He went to preschool well prepared and I even had a little help with laundry.
I need to borrow her for clothes identification at my house. I never have any idea whose socks are whose!
So sweet… I miss those toddler years, there is no way on earth my 14 year old would sort laundry without the rolling of eyes!
She’s so cute, I could repeat it all the time. And such a treasure to listen to that sweet baby talk in English (English isn’t my mother tongue). Adorable! I <3 Clara
too cute!! she talks so well! i’ll hire her for laundry sorting at my house too:)
Soooo cute, thanks for sharing. My kids and I were all smiling and giggling at your sweet girl.
I need CPR. Died from the cute. Send help.
I completely agree. Please send 2 “helps.”
Hehehe so cute! I like how she tried to get put the clothes on over her other clothes!
Sooooo cute!!!
Totally awesome!
LOVE this! So cute! Very entertaining, especially “daddy’s dress” and playing peek a boo with the shirts. Thanks for sharing such a light hearted moment!
21 month old picture in the works yet?? I assume a valentine’s theme? :)
We weren’t able to snag it on Monday, so now we’ve been derailed by photoshoots for the rest of the week (since they’re here during all daylight hours). Maybe Saturday?

Wow – that is the cutest 3 minutes I’ve ever seen!
She is such a doll. It’s really too bad they don’t stay little forever. (of course, coming from a well rested mama with the kidlets at school ;)
Aww, I lover her little voice! She is sooo darn cute! Really making me want to have another one…
This is adorable! I could watch it all day. :)
Oh my my my that voice! It’s making me miss those baby days, she.is.precious!!! Thanks for making me smile this morning. :)

This is ADORABLE!
I like “Dat’s Daddy’s dress!” when she picked up his shirt!
Ahhhhh she is just so adorable. Love love love these videos of sweet baby C.
Hahaha this is so funny! I am still amazed at how well she talks, but I can’t help but giggle over laundry identification.
Clara makes me smile! I love her little voice. Makes me miss my daughter talking like that. She is going on 6 and sounds so much older now :(
So cute she is helping out!
She’s so cute! Is it weird that I watch cute Clara video’s on my breaks at work? In my defense, I do sit in front of computer all day. She is getting so big! Thank you for sharing! :)
She is so smart and so cute! Her little voice (and the things she says) are heartwarming :) Thanks for sharing!
