A Rockin’ Rudolph Christmas
Christmas is coming to a close here in Richmond and we had a great day. We’ve got lots of holiday hijinks to share, but here’s a taste of how much fun Clara (along with her cousin John) had. Note: sorry about the skinny iPhone vid, you might want to watch it on full screen.
Clearly the dancing Rudolph doll that my mom has is a big hit with the little kids (it’s motion and sound activated, hence the clapping to get it started). Hope everyone had a great holiday!

Very Cute! Merry Christmas!
Too cute! Wish I wasn’t in a prime rib coma so I could dance like that! ha ha ha :)
I love her silly dance moves(where did she learn those?) :-) ! Thank you for sharing this too cute moments. Merry Christmas, Petersiks!
We think she got them from her cousins. The original reason for the video was that it was the first time her dancing wasn’t just bouncing up and down. There was some swinging side to side and some arm action too!

So sweet! Love those dance moves.
So adorable! Cousins are the greatest!
So cute! Hope it was a great weekend :)
So cute! Hilarious wipeout, we had a few of those today too. :)
ohmigosh that is TOO cute!
Oh my gosh! They are so adorable!! I love how close their cousin bond is. Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family!!
Sweet! Can’t wait until my little one is nearer Clara’s age. She was a bit overwhelmed by all the activity and noise this Christmas!
Clara had a few moments of being “overwhelmed” by all of the people, but all in all she was a happy kid yesterday.
-John
Seriously too cute for words! Merry Christmas!
Clara seemed to not like having her hand held at the end. Nevertheless, they are adorable!
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas!!
“Clara fell down … Clara fell down..” awwwww
Again, again! Merry Christmas, and thanks for sharing =)
The cutest! I love that little things like that can make kiddos so happy! “Again, again!” :)
Oh My Goodness! I thought at one point she was going to kiss him! SO CUTE!!!
Goodness she is adorable! My son is just a month older and the dance moves are starting to come out too. Happy New Year!
This is absolutely adorable. Kids are soo cute at this age!
Did I just watch Clara drop it like it was hot
Haha, I think you did. Shortie got low.

Fantastically awesome!!!! There is a video of me when I was 2 singing Mary had a little lamb and dancing and I love watching it.
Sherry: You are the ME of family gatherings! Just like me, I could hear your voice in the background of the video over everyone else. The SAME thing is joked about in all family videos I’m in as well.
Give it up for LOUD girls (except mine is with East TN twang)!! :)
Haha, I’m totally the loud one.

SO CUTE!!! :D
Very dramatic fall, there. And that smile.. she’s precious.
I think this will be another one of those videos that Clara herself will enjoy watching on the iPad :)
Her cute rosy cheeks show how excited she was!
Man! Those kids can be amused for hours! Very funny, had me giggling when Clara wouldn’t get up.
Unrelated questions–we are currently mod-podging some pictures onto some tiles. Rather than using them as coasters, we thought it might be fun to hang the tiles on a bathroom wall.
So question 1, does mod podge (1 layer under and about 5 layers over the photo) hold up in humidity? (It’s a guest bathroom, only used for showers about once a month.)
Question 2, what’s the best way to hang the tile? Velcro? Hot-gluing sawteeth hooks onto them? The biggest tiles are about 6″ x 6″, ceramic. Any advice y’all have would be lovely! :)
We Mod-Podged a print onto a piece of wood and hung it in our full bath in our last house and it held up well! I recommend the matte Mod Podge and using it under and over the pictures to really hold them in place from both sides and “seal” them in. As for hanging a tile, I think gluing sawteeth hooks to them sounds good, although I’d use Liquid Nails or some sort of heavy duty glue over glue gun stuff (just in case that pops off and the tile falls). Good luck!

Thanks! I remembered the post about your former bathroom project, but couldn’t find a follow-up post saying how they’d held up. :) Thanks too for the Liquid Nails recommendation–will do!
Good luck!

So darn cute!!! Love when little kids dance – they’re so into the music and totally carefree :)
Merry Christmas Petersik Clan!!!
Aww! that was such a cute video! Looks like you all had a wonderful Christmas! Love when her cousin said “Clara fell down, Clara fell down” so sweet. They are so adorable and it is wonderful that she has someone so close in age to play with. Our daughter is 4 and has no one near us at all (not even neighbors) that are close to her age…and her brothers are older and like to stay in their rooms!
Hope that you all continue to have a wonderful Holiday season! Thank you for sharing so much with us all, I feel like part of the family seeing so much of your family & home, I wait patiently every day for your posts!
So cute! Look at her little tutu skirt!
Adorable! And I love her little skirt!
How funny! They are both going to “cherish” this video when shown to their future spouses! Hahahahaha, so cute!
Cutest thing ever!
This is good stuff! Priceless and Precious! The sway (John) and the bop (Clara) while holding hands is just too cute.
Thanks for sharing and Happy Holidays!
Too Cute!!
Her outfit is the cutest!
Just gorgeous – someone thinks cousin John is just the best. Was she moving in for a little kiss and hug towards the end?
Probably! All of the cousins are very affectionate towards one another – probably because us parents thinks it’s so cute and always say “Will you give cousin John a kiss?” “Oooh, I think Clara wants a hug” and so on.
-John
this is TOOO cute! Merry Christmas!
This HAS to go on Ellen. Her dancing is stupid cute. :)
That is absolutely adorable! Love when they held hands! So sweet!
Thanks so much for sharing that with us. It was adorable. So cute!
Dancin’ so hard she fell over!
“She’s fallen and she can’t get up!” – Oh man!
SO adorable! I love how John and Clara are so friendly towards each other!
I started reading your site back under the first nom de plume to read about your wedding and years later enjoy hearing about all the new experiences.
Clara is such a lucky gal to have you folks as parents. I feel like a crazy cousin in your extended family – thanks for letting us all peek your life.
AGAIN!
Oh that’s TOO stinkin cute!
We got a video of our 16-month old rocking out to some Glee Holiday tracks. She’s a spinner… and she got so dizzy she couldn’t even stand back up after she fell down. I’ll have to get the video uploaded and linked to show her off :)
Haha, sounds like a festive day!

I have to admit I did laugh when she fell, but only because she was okay and she is so cute! I love her outfit! Such a cute video!
I love her “dramatic” fall. Seemed to be milking it there for a second. As a parent, you must wonder “Is she really hurt or just being a drama queen?” Too cute!
Oh my god, seriously too cute! Thanks for the LOLZ. :) Love how when she fell, she just laid there, kinda like walking it off – “No, I’m good here.”
I watched it twice they are so cute!
There is nothing cuter than 2 babies holding hands and swaying to rudolph!
So adorable!!
CLARA GO DOWN! This video make me laugh out loud – so completely adorable and sweet, what a memory to have on video!!!
