Someone Like You
We know a song’s getting a lot of radio play when Clara starts to know more of the words than we do. Here we are watching Adele’s music video online after breakfast the other morning. Of course Clara sang the chorus almost perfectly ten times (much to our utter amazement) and then we whipped out the video camera and got this substantially less enunciated version. Maybe the girl has stage fright?
We love how she really went for that last note and finished strong with a dramatic milk cup closure. Bravo, Clara. Bravo.

My daughter is a bigger fan of “Rumor has it”. She gets her head bobbing and her hips shaking. She turned two on Sunday…
I have twin 3 year olds and they love Rumor Has It too! Perhaps it’s the beat?! :)
ahh clara videos always make my day! she is the sweetest :)
So true!! She is soooo cute!
Cliche warning – this is precious – I’m amazed at how someone under two takes all of these things in and then actually puts them together, I can barely(rarely) do that muchless imagine what it’d be like to be 18 months. She’s probably singing in her head all the time. I second the Bravo Clara!
This song came up on my Pandora station right as I opened this blog post! Craaaazy! Haha. Clara’s singing is so cute.
thaaat is sooo adorable – and i haven’t even listened to it with the volume on yet – looking forward to doing that at home :)
O.M.G. She’s just too stinkin’ cute, you two!
I just want to warn you: my 2-year-old son loves Clara. He comes running whenever I turn on videos of her :P
This is totally adorable! Thanks for sharing!
I was hoping for the Itsy-Bitsy Spider mash-up version, but this is cute too ;-)
Loving the skeleton jammies – that was my 14 month old’s Halloween costume this year.
Can’t wait for the book btw! I’ll definitely be buying it so you can support Burger’s McDonald’s fries habit (I like to sniff the carton too – mmm, salty goodness).
That was so stinkin cute! They do play that song like every 5 seconds!
Crazy. Adorable.
That was absolutely the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. My daughter is starting to sing top 40 hits, too. Although hers haven’t quite reached Clara’s level of articulation. I think I’ll give it a few months before we audition her for The X Factor.
Love it. Nothing more to say :)
HAHAHAHA The milk top closing at the end was the best. Quite the finale!
Adorable!! My girls love that song too!
My 4 year old loves the song too. Here’s a video I took of her over the summer.
She’s really good, total cutie pie!
OMG she is uber cute….what a budding talent!
Adorable!!
My son – 15 months- just loved that video. He loves music of all kinds so I wasn’t surprised when he ran over to see what I was looking at but he kept wanting to watch it. Too cute! Clara is awesome!!
love. it. clara and adele, great combo.
How has nobody said it yet? Sherry, your kid is kind of a genius. Well, advanced at least. Seriously. Her language skills are crazy!
She’s a cutie!
that was amazing
Ohhh Clara my sentiments exactly…
Cause I heard the first line as
“OH never gonna find a love like you BACON!”
You go girl, nothing love with professing your love to a yummy pork product :)
Haha- hilarious!

O.M.G. Seriously. That is the cutest thing I have ever seen! You might have a future singer on your hands!
Oh my goodness, that is awesome! My 21 month old son gets “stage fright” too as soon as I turn on the video camera. Drives me nuts! Hahaha
My almost 3yr old daughter loves the videos of Clara! She insists we watch them whenever she sees your site up. Her favourite one is the tape measure one but she was pretty happy for Clara when she counted to ten. That warranted a round of applause!
Aw, so cute!

Adorable! A previous co-worker of mine posted a video of her 2-year old daughter singing along to this song, too, just last week. :)
That is really cute….you can tell what a smart girl she is.
Omg so cute!
Cutest thing I’ve seen all day! Thanks for sharing :)
My Clara has the same pyjamas. Cutie!
Wow, she sings that SO much better than my husband does… he keeps warbling (off key) “sometimes it HURTS so bad” instead of “sometimes it lasts in love.”
Go Clara!
First, Clara is adorable. But, I have an off topic question. In the background, I was looking at the baseboards. My parents have the same thing in their house, and I thought it was odd, maybe you can help me out. You have nice white baseboards, then you have a piece of molding that matches your floors. Is that staying “wood” or is that going to get painted white too? I just spent 5 days looking at their’s and wondering if it was normal, or how to handle it better.
That piece is usually quarter-round or shoe molding and I think you can really go either way on the color. It’s wood in most of our house, but we’d probably prefer it to be white since it makes the baseboards look bigger and therefore grander. But besides the kitchen, we haven’t bothered to paint all of it yet.
-John
We have the same thing – white baseboards with the quarter round. We’ve been in our house 1.5 years and honestly, we don’t even notice the difference anymore, it blends in with the floor after a while
That is awesome! My two year old sings all the time and I LOVE it – although he is partial to Me & My Gang from Rascal Flatts. I think we listen to it three times every morning on the way to the babysitter.
One day we were listening to Adele’s Rumor Has It and he kept bobbing his head and singing ‘Mama says it, Mama says it, Mama says it!’ in place of “rumor has it”. Too funny.
I have to say, her shirt is absolutely adorable. Oh and she’s pretty cute too! Haha, just kidding, she’s more adorable than the shirt!
Oh for cute! More Clara videos! She is so stinkin adorable!
SO ADORABLE!
My six week old grandson calms down every time my daughter plays Adele. I wonder if she knows what a baby magnet her music is!
Awwww! You have a real little singer there (and how cute is her hair right now?) Love it (especially the ending)! Go Clara :)
OMG….that is seriously soooo cute. I just love her expressions, and how she is looking at the camera and/or whoever is holding the camera.
Stefanie ~ your daughter is adorable singing it too!
I just Love Adele ~ I just got her CD a week ago ~ love it.
I’m pretty sure that’s kind of advanced! We are musicians so our daughter is around music all the time; it took her meeting her 6 cousins to finally learn how to “yell” over thanksgiving in place of her usual cooing. Clara is a sweetie pie!
She is so super cute! I especially love the milk cup closure at the end. That had me cracking up! Hilarious.
I seriously think you guys have a genius on your hands! I have never seen another 18month old that was so smart and articulated. Way to go mama and papa! You guys seem like such good parents.
Aw thanks Sofie! Shucks, that’s sweet.

She’s a peach!
Whenever I hear that song, I will forever think of this clip from SNL: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIgJocYj7DM
LOL!
Haha- us too! So funny!

Omg, too adorable! You two might honestly have a musical prodigy for a daughter. That’s amazing!!
In the car the other day, Moves Like Jagger came on, and we had the following conversation…she is almost 3:
Daughter: Mama, who is this singing ( she always asks who is singing, her favorites are, Zac Brown, Jimmy Buffett, and Train. Blaming the first two on my parents)
Me: Maroon 5
Daughter: Does he move like jackets?
Me : Yup. Then I just laugh and laugh.
I love kids! They are the best source of humor!
Hahahahahahhahahahah. Awesome.

That is so cute! I love the big finish. I’m always amazed when my 2-year-old can remember words to songs we haven’t heard in months and will start singing along. He’s a big fan of Rolling in the Deep.
Miss. clara is very smart!
This is SO funny that so many little girls are sining along with Adele. My daughter also sings “Rumor has it” AND “Someone like you” … in fact, I started to wonder if maybe I was over playing it, but she asks for it… so how could I say no… “wooma has it wooo… wooma has it woo”!
Haha. Wooma has it = hilarious and so sweet!

I just watched that video with my 23 month old, Katie Mae. We love that song, but she spotted Clara’s sippy cup….which is exactly like Katie Mae’s. All of a sudden she had to have “muk muk muk muk muk peese”.
Haha- so funny!

What kind of video camera do you guys use?
We have a flip HD. Love it!
